5 People Who Had A Rougher Weekend Than You Did

If you woke up with a serious case of the Mondays today, it might be time to put things in perspective.

Here are some individuals who somehow managed to make things much worse for themselves this weekend and/or experienced some rather unfortunate indignities, in full view of the general public.

Just be thankful you’re not one of them, mmkay?

1. Mulan Fans

Mulan fans everywhere heaved a collective cry of despair when the director for the upcoming live-action Disney version confirmed that the songs would not be included in the remake.

In an interview with MovieFone, Mulan director Niki Caro said, “Yes, from what I understand, no songs right now, much to the horror of my children.”

UM, EXCUSE ME? JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE GOING TO DO WITH ALL THAT SCREEN TIME, DISNEY?

Not surprisingly, Twitter is NOT here for this piece of news.

2. Tomi Lahren

On Friday, conservative pundit for TheBlaze, Tomi Lahren, went on The View to discuss some of her ideas — among them, the somewhat radical notion that she is both conservative and pro-choice.

“I’m … you know, someone that loves the constitution and I am someone that’s for limited government, and so I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say ‘I’m for limited government, but I think that the government should decide what women do with their bodies,'” Lahren said. “I can sit here and say that, as a Republican, and I can say that, ‘You know what, I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns and you can stay out of my body as well.'”

Not surprisingly, many of Lahren’s former fans were pissed, and went off on her, declaring that they would no longer support her.

Lahren has since stood firm on the issue, refusing to apologize or back down from her stance.

As for people who loathe Tomi Lahren, the whole thing is vastly confusing — on the one hand, it’s kind of amazing to see Lahren’s coven finally turning against her. On the other, the fact that people are criticizing her for being pro-choice is endlessly exhausting.

3. Angela Merkel

German Chancellor Angela Merkel visited Donald Trump this week, and the president made his disdain for the German leader pretty apparent when he refused to shake her hand during a press photo op.

Trump essentially acted like a petulant child for the entirety of Merkel’s visit, causing her to shoot him baffled looks during his speech about America’s current relationship with Germany.

4. Donald Trump Jr.

Saturday’s New York Times profile of Donald Trump Jr. featured a photo of the president’s son attempting to lounge casually on a tree stump, decked in flannel. The whole thing looked awkward and stilted, and the internet wasted no time in roasting the ridiculous photoshoot.

Sorry, Donny. Looks like “handsome lumberjack” isn’t the impression you’re giving out right now.

5. Sean Spicer

Unless you’ve been living under a rock (which, no judgement, it sounds nice and you should invite me), then you are aware that our president, Donald J. Trump, has spouted off accusations that the Obama administrations tapped his phones at Trump Tower during last year’s election. There is no evidence to support these claims.

Trump also randomly asserted that perhaps British intelligence was responsible for the wire-tapping. Which is, again, a completely unfounded claim. The Trump administration then appeared to backtrack on this claim, with some reports claiming that the White House apologized for the off-base accusations.

However, Press Secretary Sean Spicer recently denied that any apologies had been made. “I don’t think we regret anything” Spicer told reporters on Friday afternoon.

WTF IS HAPPENING OVER THERE? Y’ALL HAVE A MEETING AND GET ON THE SAME PAGE. IT’S THE LEAST YOU COULD DO IF YOU’RE GOING TO LIE ABOUT EVERYTHING ANYWAY.
