Demi Lovato Had A Pretty Boss Reaction To Having Her Private Photos Stolen By Hackers

Last week, multiple celebrities were targeted by hackers who obtained their private (and, in some cases, nude) photographs. Emma Watson, Amanda Seyfried, Rose McGowan and Demi Lovato were among those targeted by the hackers. Both Watson and Seyfried are in the process of pursuing legal action against the hackers.

Demi Lovato, however, has a slightly different response to the people who decided to invade her privacy.

Apparently, only one photo was stolen from Demi, which features her lounging in bed, wearing an unzipped hoodie with no shirt on underneath. Demi pointed out to everyone that their lecherous/scandalized reactions were hardly warranted, since the photo wasn’t actually nude.

She then reminded everyone that if people wanted naked photos of her … um, they already exist. Lovato posed nude for a now-infamous photoshoot with Vanity Fair in 2015.

Considering Demi’s frankness, it’s unlikely that hackers are going to make her blush any time soon.

Even though an invasion of privacy is still an invasion of privacy, and should be treated as such, its heartening to see the unflappable Lovato remind the bullies that they didn’t win — and that she’s not particularly concerned with what other people think of her “scandalous” photos, nude or otherwise.

Rose McGowan also responded to the hack with her own (slightly terrifying?) tweet.

Um, yeah. For future reference, don’t fuck with Rose McGowan.

Also, let’s not forget the real issue here: people are trying to humiliate and/or objectify female celebrities by attempting to leak their private photos. Though it’s nice when these celebrities have baller responses to photo hacks, these kinds of privacy breaches shouldn’t be happening in the first place.
