Turns Out That Porn Star Shark Bite Thing Was Staged

Earlier this week, we wrote about a porn star whose YouTube video, “Shark Attack – Cam Girl Bitten off Florida Coast,” went viral. We had our doubts, of course, but if we accused them of bullshitting us and she actually was bitten by a shark, then we’d be terrible people. Well, turns out, it was faked.

Remember this crazy video of the porn star getting brutally attacked by a shark?

The brutal attack, we were told, left her needing 20 stitches.

Turns out, the shark attack was FAKED.

Because apparently you can’t trust anyone these days and we should’ve known the viral shark bite was fishy to begin with.

The shark expert who runs Florida Shark Diving was contacted by porn star Molly Cavalli and her film crew about making a viral video. “It’s a hundred percent fake,” the diving company’s owner, Bryce Rohrer, told WPTV.

“We are looking to do a shoot faking a shark bite and it’s strictly in order for it to go viral,” the cam girl told Rohrer, according to the Palm Beach Post. He even has a text from the actress, which includes a picture of what the bite could look like with some makeup.

The shark expert was not happy about the request: “We immediately declined. We are pro-shark, pro-wildlife, and want to show the importance of sharks, not villainize them.”

The actress and the company haven’t commented since being exposed as phonies.

Of course, the hoaxers were able to find another boat to make the video, which did go viral.

Shark experts are super pissed about it. “I can tell you for a fact, it was not a shark bite,” the International Shark Attack File’s George Burgess told the Palm Beach Post. “The injury is not a shark bite. It was a PR stunt, and it worked.”

Shark expert Ryan Walton with Deep Obsession Charters told WPTV that the porn star “is exploiting sharks for her own fame.” He added, “That to me is disgusting.”

For the record, the lemon sharks seen in the video aren’t really a threat to humans. There are only 10 cases of lemon shark attacks on record, and none of them have been fatal.
