You Guys, Trump’s Commencement Speech Was Totally Plagiarized From Elle Woods

On Saturday, President Donald Trump delivered a commencement speech to the graduates of Liberty University and while our current POTUS has yet to prove himself to be the most skilled orator, this particular speech was oddly familiar to those watching at home.

We couldn’t quite put our finger on where we’d heard it before until Jimmy Fallon revealed Monday night that Trump’s words of wisdom were reminiscent to those spoken by the one and only Elle Woods in the closing scene of Legally Blonde. Yes, our president is plagiarizing the bend-and-snap queen and we honestly don’t know how to feel about it.

Jimmy Fallon compared Donald Trump’s commencement speech to Elle Woods’ valedictorian speech from Legally Blonde and the similarities are undeniable.

In his opening monologue Monday night, Fallon poked fun at President Trump for a number of things, but perhaps the most hilarious was his undeniably accurate comparison between Trump and Elle Woods’ graduation speeches. Of course, when speaking to a room full of college graduates about their futures the typical clichés are bound to be reused, however these particular speeches were too similar to ignore.

On one hand I want to roll my eyes at our POTUS for “unintentionally” plagiarizing a movie, but on the other hand it’s kind of ironically pleasing to hear Trump quoting a kick-ass female like Elle Woods.

Either way, Fallon could not have been more accurate.

If only Trump had a Bruiser Woods to accompany him…
