This 12-year-old stunned ‘America’s Got Talent’ judges with her mind-blowing ventriloquist act

Tuesday night’s premiere of America’s Got Talent featured an abundance of unique and impressive acts—perhaps some of the best in the show’s history. One stunning performance after another forced the judges (even Simon Cowell) to their feet in applause.

Possibly the most memorable act of the night was 12-year-old Darci Lynne Farmer who floored the audience with her extraordinary ventriloquism skills. She’s so incredibly talented you’ll find yourself believing the puppet has a mind of its own.

12-year-old Darci Lynne Farmer wowed the ‘AGT’ audience last night with her insane ventriloquism skills.

Before she began her performance, Darci from Oklahoma City told the judges between nervous giggles that she “would really like to keep ventriloquism alive because it’s not common, you know?”

In full disclosure, I usually find ventriloquism and puppets/dolls of any kind to be extremely creepy, but Darci may have convinced me otherwise.

The adorable preteen began her act by having her puppet rabbit Petunia belt out a dazzling rendition of “Summertime” and Darci’s mouth remains unbelievably still throughout. Her vocals behind clenched teeth are, imho, better than some of today’s most popular artists singing normally.

Of course, the judges were in awe and gave Darci and her puppet a standing ovation. Then, as Judge Mel B. prepared to give her feedback, she couldn’t help but reach across push the Golden Buzzer—sending Darci straight into the live show round.

I couldn’t imagine a better ending. Yay Darci!
