Amazon bought Whole Foods and the internet reacted with some prime jokes

This morning Amazon, the overlord of online shopping, announced its recent purchase of Whole Foods Market for a casual $13.7 billion.

The combination of Whole Foods high-end retail with Amazon’s magnanimous online presence is speculated to wreak havoc on the grocery industry. This deal also provides Amazon with hundreds of wealthy urban areas in which to test their physical retailing experiments.

Naturally, Twitter is having some thoughts surrounding this purchase.

Some users suggested Alexa was behind the entire deal.

Others are hoping for prime delivery.

And some began to guess the next mergers.

But I think we can all agree that Amazon is becoming a little too powerful.
