Here’s what’s coming to your ex’s Netflix account In July

Though the season already seems to be in full swing, today is the first official day of summer. That means it’s time to dig out your oversized floats and tropical beverages and get ready for relentless heat and relaxing pool days.

Of course, at some point you’ll likely need to retreat indoors to the comfort of a cool AC and your endless library of Netflix faves. Fortunately, the streaming service is adding a whole slew of new movies and tv shows next month and we honestly cannot wait to binge.

1. Titanic (1997)

We are pleased to announce that the James Cameron classic is finally making its debut on Netflix next month. So, if you’ve been in need of a good long cry and have about three hours to spare out of your day, Titanic will be there to help. Not to mention, you can enjoy drooling over a young Leo DiCaprio and imagine him drawing you like one of his French girls.

2. Free Willy (1993)

Most of us grew up watching this touching story of little Jesse and his Orca whale best friend, Willy. Jesse and Willy formed an unlikely companionship in the toughest of times and their tale never fails to make me tear up. With the craziness of our current society, this is a perfect light-hearted film to escape to.

Ducks fly together! If you’ve never seen Disney’s The Mighty Ducks, please do yourself a favor and set aside some time next month to stream this classic film. Aside from enjoying the antics of a preteen hockey team, you can also laugh about the fact that in the 90s, coaching was considered a form of community service.

Adapted from the 1974 sports classic, The Longest Yard is easily one of the most ridiculous sports films ever made. However, all-star cast members like Adam Sandler, Chris Rock and Terry Crews make this early 2000’s version an absolute riot. Plus, spoiler alert: Burt Reynolds makes a surprise cameo!

This moving Oscar nominated film only hit theaters last year, but is already debuting on Netflix and I cannot wait to watch it. Inspired by a true story, Dev Patel stars in the tale of an Indian boy who gets lost on the streets of Calcutta—thousands of miles from home. After surviving multiple hardships, he is adopted by a young Australian couple and 25 years later, he sets out to find his lost family.

When Sam Rockwell and Nicholas Cage are paired together, you know it’s going to be a thrilling cinematic experience. In Matchstick Men, Cage portrays a phobic con artist who—amidst a lucrative heist—is surprised by the arrival of his teenage daughter. While she may be the positive influence Cage’s character so desperately needs, her sudden interest in the family “business” causes Cage to question his parenting tactics.
