People are honestly cackling over the unnecessary Drake & Josh wedding drama

Ever since the internet got wind of Drake Bell not receiving an invite the Josh Peck’s wedding, people are helpless against the pull of drama between the nostalgic former friend duo.

Since Bell’s passive-aggressive (and since-deleted) tweets, it has come to light that Peck actually commented on his relationship with his former costar in a podcast interview, saying that they’re not really close anymore. When people ask Peck on the street “Where’s Drake?” he says he has no idea how to respond. “I go, ‘I wish I had a better answer but probably at home. Whole Foods?'”

According to Us Weekly, Drake’s beef with not getting an invite to the wedding came as a total shock to Josh. “At Josh’s wedding this weekend some guests were asking Josh Peck where Drake was. Josh told everyone that he and Drake hadn’t spoken in three years. They would tweet each other back on social media a couple times a year, but never actually spoke,” an inside source told Us Weekly. “When Drake didn’t get invited to Josh’s wedding, he started tweeting all of those dramatic memes. Josh was really hurt. They aren’t close anymore and Josh had a very small wedding.”

Which, honestly, makes perfect sense: two friends grew apart after not hanging out for years, so much so that one of them didn’t have to think twice about not inviting the other to their wedding. It sucks, but that’s kind of how life works.

However, this awkward and uncomfortable “feud” has provided Twitter with some amazing fodder for new Drake & Josh memes. (Because the internet is heartless and hilarious.)

Even though it’s kind of cringe-worthy to watch this feud unfold, you have to admit: it makes for some pretty entertaining, low-stakes drama.
