5 reasons to say “Hell Yeah!” this week

The only thing better than Friday, is the Friday before a long weekend. As you prepare to enjoy your 4th of July alongside family, friends, and fireworks, take a moment to check out all of the good news from this week.

Happy holidays!

1. ASOS not photoshopping their models’ stretch marks

ASOS has been getting some credit recently for not Photoshopping all of the stretch marks on their models, allowing them to look like actual human women — which is a startlingly new and refreshing experience for female shoppers.

The company actually started letting the tiger stripes free in 2016, when shoppers first began to notice that model butts weren’t perfectly photoshopped.

2. Chrissy Teigen’s perfect response to her wardrobe malfunction

During a recent John Legend performance at Madison Square Garden in NYC, Legend invited Teigen onstage for an impromptu slow dance while singing his 2006 hit — you guessed it — “Slow Dance.” However, the sexy grinding took a slightly NSFW turn when one of Teigen’s boobs fell out of her slinky black dress.

Fortunately, Chrissy Teigen handled the debacle in her signature carefree fashion, laughing the whole thing off and taking a little bow.

Now that it’s officially summer, we can no longer stave off the inevitable hell of swimsuit shopping. Any woman who has ever shopped for a swimwear knows how aggravating the process it can be.

One British plus-size model recently experienced this bikini-hunting nightmare and shared a photo to air her frustrations. Needless to say, women everywhere can relate.

4. This professor’s excellent response to a single mom missing class

Morgan King is a 21-year-old studying therapeutic care at the University of Tennessee. She is also a single mother, raising her 3-month-old baby, Korbyn. Morgan typically leaves Korbyn with her paternal grandparentsduring school days, but when King was unable to make it to class due to her normal source of childcare falling through, her professor, Sally B. Hunter, offered the most perfect and supportive response.

5. J.K. Rowling’s tweet about the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter

Harry Potter devotees on Twitter are celebrating this auspicious anniversary with the hashtag #HarryPotter20, and reminiscing about how far we’ve all come since we were first introduced to J.K. Rowling’s vivid and imaginative world. But it was J.K. Rowling’s tweet about the occasion that really tugged at people’s heartstrings.
