Though Hollywood relationships are often the subject of frivolous gossip and scrutiny, there are a handful of celebrity couples that we cannot help but obsess over. One of those being the hilarious duo that is Chris Pratt and Anna Faris.
Whether Pratt is snapping a photo with his wife’s look-a-like or Faris is gracing the world with shirtless pictures of her hunky husband via Twitter, the pair are always up to something. Recently, on her popular podcast—Anna Faris Is Unqualified—Faris shared that she knew she’d be engaged to Pratt seven months before he proposed and we’re positively swooning.
Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are one of Hollywood’s most enviably hilarious couples.
Pratt has often said that meeting Faris was love at first sight.
The pair were first introduced during the filming of Take Me Home Tonight. Can we talk about that popped collar and clean-cut baby face though?
In the most recent episode of her podcast, Anna Faris Is Unqualified, Faris opened up about the pair’s engagement.
“We had talked about getting married and were living together,” Faris said. “One day I found a bag from a jeweler of the floor of his truck, so I knew something was coming.”
After she discovered a not so mysterious jewlery bag, Faris waited seven whole months for Pratt to pop the question.
He finally got down on one knee for Faris’ birthday, but he carried the ring around for quite some time—even overseas.
“My whole family took all of us to Italy and apparently he lugged (the ring) all around Italy and held on to it for a couple months,” she said. “I think I knew for like, seven months, and so finally he asked me on my birthday.”
When he eventually asked, Faris did her best to act surprised, but of course Pratt knew her far too well to be fooled.
Pratt and Faris tied the knot back in 2009 and had their adorable son Jack three years later.
Jack might just be the most adorable kid I’ve ever seen. Not that I’m too surprised, he has a pretty solid gene pool.
I can’t speak for Anna, but it’s safe to assume these guys were totally worth the wait.
