It’s an unfortunate reality that many women feel an innate need to compete with other women — for jobs, for notoriety, for men. Despite the fact that women should really be banding together to problem-solve and make progress, there is still a pesky and persistent notion that the biggest threat to women is the other women in their life. And even though many of us rationally know that this behavior is regressive, every one of us still manages to succumb to these petty instincts periodically.
A handful of girlfriends recently took to Whisper to confess why they’re jealous of certain women in their boyfriend’s life. From platonic friends, to ex-girlfriends, to daughters, these women are finding it difficult to share their significant others. And even though it’s important to acknowledge that this competitiveness is counterproductive … there’s a decent chance that you’ve also felt this way at one point or another.
