There are several aspects of being a woman that men will never quite understand. Next to child birth, menstruation is probably one of the biggest biological differences they have trouble wrapping their minds around—even if it is a completely natural part of the female reproductive system.
That being said, we do appreciate those considerate gentlemen out there who try their best to empathize with us during our monthly discomfort. But to those who are under the impression that we are either being overly dramatic or that, as one deeply confused man has recently asserted, “menstrual pain is a myth”, I have only this to say: no uterus, no opinion!
Twitter user @goldenconceptng recently posed the question: “what is worse than a broken heart?”
To which another user, @RAFIAT_BELLO, astutely replied: Menstrual pain, homelessness, hunger etc.
Then, @goldenconceptng made a statement so moronic we can’t even comprehend it.
“As a guy, I think menstrual pain is a myth.” UM WHAT?
Yes, because the entire female population got together and came up with a maniacal scheme to trick men into thinking that once a month we have the privilege of enjoying wonderful things like stabbing pain in our ovaries, nausea, mood swings, bloating and a whole slew of other uncomfortable symptoms. Because all of that just sounds *so* appealing!
Fortunately, Twitter took it upon themselves to educate this obviously confused individual.
And it was only a matter of time before the fire memes came rolling in.
We can only hope this Twitter tirade has taught @goldenconceptng at least one important lesson:
