It can’t be an easy job to be a designer. You have an idea, the client has their own version in mind, marketing interjects, and on and on until the final design isn’t even close to the original. But the one department that should always have their voice heard is quality control. Which, in this case, may not have happened.
Online retailer BelleChic missed a very important step in the design process, which was later caught by Twitter user
The bag is supposed to say “My favorite color is glitter.” While the most appalling thing about this bag should be it’s basic-ness, it’s actually that the “g” and “l” in the font look a little too much like a capital H. And, well, when you see it….
It didn’t take long for the tweet to reach critical mass, and for others to jump in with some colorful jokes at the company’s expense.
See folks, this is exactly why typography is important.
