Welp, Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry just couldn’t stay broken up

If you’ll recall, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom broke up in March after dating for roughly 10 months. The couple was very amicable about the whole thing, though (despite some questionable video footage of Orlando snuggling with a woman who was most certainly not Katy at the Global Green Gala earlier this year).

The pair released a joint statement following their breakup, saying, “Before rumours or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.”

Though it seemed like this celebrity couple was officially kaput, Orlando and Katy never actually stopped contacting one another in the six months since their breakup. So, it should really come as no surprise that the two are now apparently “back on.”

The rumors of reconciliation began circulating after Bloom and Perry were spotted attending an Ed Sheeran concert together. And now, an anonymous source who is close to the situation has confirmed the romantic rekindling.

“They have never cut communication since they broke up,” a source told E! News. “They just took a break because it was the best thing for them at that time, (but they) are seeing each other again.”

“Katy and Orlando want this to work this time, so they are working on mending their relationship. They’ve had some really good talks and have a better understanding on their needs. Time will tell at this point, but (things are) looking very positive.”

“When they went out in public, they were aware that people would start speculating that they were back on, and they are OK with that,” the source added. “They love each other and never stopped.”

As E! reports, “We’re told they don’t even care who knows about their rekindled romance.”

Well, it sounds like love may win after all — though both stars have a history of perpetuating on-again, off-again relationships with other people. (Bloom dated Kate Bosworth intermittently from 2002-2006, and Perry was in a hot-and-cold relationship with John Mayer from 2012-2015.)

But hey, maybe this time it’ll actually take!
