Twitter may be full of trolls and jerks, but you cannot deny that, when it comes to sheer entertainment value, it can also give even the trashiest reality TV show a run for its money.
Twitter’s most recent drama-filled involves one woman giving a detailed account of how she discovered her boyfriend was cheating on her — and the truly savage way in which she decided to ultimately call him out on it.
It all started when Twitter user Ayana clicked with her coworker at her new serving job. The two women apparently had so much in common that they would dish about the cute guys who came in to the restaurant.
Ayana decided to give Twitter a play-by-play of how her relationship with this particular coworker unfolded:
When the coworker decided to chat with Ayana about a special guy in her life, things got … interesting.
Much to Ayana’s surprise, the coworker began gushing about her “boo” … which, unbeknownst to the coworker, turned out to be Ayana’s boyfriend of three years.
It was then that Ayana hatched a truly villainous plan to out her cheating boyfriend and trap him in his own lies: she invited the coworker over to her house, where she lives with (of course) her boyfriend.
To make matters even crazier, the girl apparently lives six houses down from Ayana and her boyfriend.
When Ayana realized her boyfriend was home, she got even more hyped about her diabolical plan, and invited her coworker in to the house.
In the end, Ayana ordered her boyfriend to move out.
Ayana’s boyfriend then attempted to convince her (in the tradition of emotionally abusive men everywhere) that she was the one being unreasonable in this instance.
Fortunately, Ayana and her coworker ultimately made amends, more or less.
However, the plot became even more twisted when a guy DM’ed Ayana asking her the identity of the girl in her story, offering up a first and last name as well as a photograph of the two of them together. Apparently, Ayana’s coworker was dating this dude at the same time that she was communicating (and who knows what else) with Ayana’s boyfriend.
That convo went a little something like this:
Two cheaters fooling around together? Well, I can’t say that I’m terribly shocked. People who make poor decisions tend to gravitate toward one another.
But, if this debacle has taught us anything, it’s that being dishonest or disloyal definitely doesn’t pay — unless you’re looking for retweets.
