If you can’t learn to laugh off some of life’s most embarrassing moments, then you could wind up spending the entirety of your existence in a state of perpetual mortification. From flubbing someone’s name, to tripping and falling over your own feet, these moments ultimately have zero significance in the course of your life, so it’s probably best to shrug them off and move forward.
The same goes for if you accidentally show up to a wedding wearing the same dress as another guest … even if you show up to that wedding wearing the same dress as five other guests.
Debbie Speranza recently attended a wedding clad in a party dress from Australian clothing brand Forever New. Much to Debbie’s surprise, however, five other friends of the bride showed up wearing (almost) the exact same dresses, from the same store.
Luckily, the matching guests found the whole thing to be pretty comical, and posed for a requisite group photo together.
Here’s a closer look:
Debbie shared the snapshot to the Forever New Facebook page, jokingly suggesting that, perhaps, there was a way to circumvent such a preposterous situation in the future:
You really should start a bridal registry so that your customers can enquire whether anyone else has purchased one of your dresses for the same event 😂😂😂 no we are NOT the bridesmaids just the guests 🤗 think I deserve a gift voucher for all this advertisement
Honestly? A registry for bridal guests definitely isn’t a terrible idea, and should probably be implemented by some of the larger purveyors of wedding guest attire. But hey, if you’re fortunate enough to be surrounded by such good sports as these women, why sweat it? Even if you all show up wearing the same thing, you’ll be able to laugh it off and focus on more important matters — such as which of the groomsmen is single, and how many hors d’oeuvres you can stuff into your purse.
