Seth Rogen’s mom is bugging him to call her back on Twitter, and it’s pretty damn relatable

Whether we’re willing to admit it or not, we’ve forgotten to call or text our mom back at some point. The only problem is that when your mom calls/texts and you don’t respond for an hour or more, there’s a probably a 50/50 chance she’s going to freak out and sound the alarms — because that’s what moms do, and that’s part of why we love them.

And, it turns out, this impulse doesn’t even go away when your kid becomes a famous celebrity who’s constantly surrounded by other famous people and who’s in and out of important meetings all day!

Yesterday, Seth Rogen’s mom, Sandy, couldn’t get ahold of her son — so she decided to publicly confront him on Twitter in regards to his whereabouts.

Seth later revealed that he had only neglected to call her back for one day.

Honestly, it’s not terribly surprising. Moms are hardwired to fret over the the responsiveness of their kids and immediately assume the worst possible scenarios. It’s their job!

Twitter could relate to the Mom Anxiety, which is all too real.

So, moms everywhere, now you know: calling your child out on social media is one of the most public methods of embarrassment — but, then again, it’s also a surefire way to make sure they actually respond.

As for all the kids out there, make sure you respond to your sweet mother, dammit!
