We’ve seen oodles of pimple videos, ingrown hair and nails, and even an edible zit-popping cake. But if you thought that was the the worst that dermatology could offer the internet in 2017, behold the gory realness of this delightfully disgusting manicure.
In her charming British accent, beauty vlogger, nail artist, and new personal hero Natasha Lee narrates just how she managed to put a nasty case of acne onto her otherwise beautiful nails.
After applying her base coat, Natasha applies a flesh toned polish to her nails. Then she adds a few “blobs” of a clear nail strengthener polish to create 3D blemishes, before reapplying another coat of the flesh-toned polish. But that just the base. Next, Natasha uses a pink shade over the blemishes to give them an inflamed, picked-at look. A “pus” yellow polish is then dabbed at the top of the mound to create the illusion of a white head.

Now for the main attraction: a single accent nail that you can actually “pop.” Natasha accomplishes this feature using a banana hand cream that’s super thick and will hold its shape. She places a dollop of that yellowy, thick lotion cleanly onto the flesh-painted nail and seals it with the clear nail strengthener to create a barrier. Then another layer of the fleshy polish, then a little pink for inflamation, and that pus-yellow top that gives dimension to your nail zit.
THIS. IS. AESTHETICS.
Natasha finishes her video with a Dr. Pimple Popper-style pop, where we get to watch her use her finger to slowly get the pustule to ooze from her nail. It’s all “erupting, exploding, pimply-poppy nails” fun, and especially satisfying when she takes a pair of tweezers to really get the nail zit to come to a head.
Bless you, internet, for finding another way to satisfy our obsession with pimple popping!
