With China being Starbucks’ fastest growing market, it was no surprise to hear their second Reserve Roastery in the world launched in Shanghai yesterday. For the Starbucks-obsessed who are either living or planning a trip within the near future around China’s biggest city, you’re in for real treat because this place is like Disneyland for anyone who loves coffee.
According to their recent press release, the “state-of-the-art premium reserve roastery” includes a multi-sensory retail experience offering guests to engage in:
• Manufacturing and cafe environment including roasting, packaging and brewing;
• Integrated offline and online augmented reality (AR) digital experience; and
• Debut of food freshly baked onsite by Italian food purveyor, Rocco Princi for the first time ever in China
So if the Starbucks that’s probably minutes from your current location isn’t enough, you can get your sugar induced caffeinated coma on (with four pumps of caramel sauce, obvi), in this ginormous, fully immersive coffee experience.
And if these behind-the-scenes pics don’t get you a little excited, I honestly don’t know what will.
Can’t make your way across the world? You can find the first Reserve Roastery which opened three years ago in Seattle — home to the company’s headquarters. Because who doesn’t love an experiential liquid hug to your brain?
I want to go to there…
