It’s safe to say that winter now is completely different from the winter months we grew up having. I often feel nostalgic just thinking about it, to the point that I wish I was smart enough to invent a time machine. Here’s how winter is so different right now.
In the 90s: The puffier the jacket, the warmer you’d be.
Now: You wear whatever is the cutest, for example that camel-colored peacoat is basically just a sweater.
2. Warm drinks
In the 90s: You grew up drinking hot cocoa everyday.
Now: You spend all of our money on pumpkin spice lattes.
In the 90s: You were super cool if you had furry earmuffs.
Now: You wear those knit headbands thinking it’s going to keep your ears warm but it doesn’t.
4. Social life
In the 90s: You’d actually meet up with friends to shoot some pool or play video games.
Now: You Netflix from your bed alone.
In the 90s: You try and pick out gifts from the mall.
Now: Amazon has it all.
In the 90s: Mariah Carey’s cd was golden because she was one of the few musicians to make an entire Christmas album.
Now: Every musician has a Christmas album and you can get it on Spotify.
7. School/Work break
In the 90s: You’s spend you entire day straight up chillin’ and playing with your gadgets.
Now: You can’t wait to get out of town and take selfies.
8. Celeb crush
In the 90s: Johnathan Taylor Thomas was so cute in that one Christmas movie.
Now: Everyone’s so cute in all the Hallmark Christmas movies.
9. Snow day
In the 90s: Go outside and play.
Now: Work from home.
Yeah, the 90s rocked.
