The first food-inspired hair trend of the year is here and it’s actually gorgeous

Every year beauty trends get a little bit more creative and this time around ice cream is coming into the mix. You won’t be using actual ice cream in your hair but looking to the one pint tub for major inspo.

Scruples Hair Care challenged ten hair stylists all over the US to transform their hair color to look like the colors of Halo Top ice cream, and some of the looks are like magical unicorn hair.

10. Sea Salt Caramel

•Sea Salted Caramel• We’re baaaack! A few of us artists, Sponsored by @scrupleshair … created #icecreamhair representing @halotopcreamery #halotopcreamery Using all #scruplescolor For mine I first lightened Sara’s natural level 6/7 with Illusionist 9av and #b3 (a 1-step lighten and tone system). I then dried her hair and added slices of Hypnotic 9na around her hairline and troughout, alternating with two different #urbanshock pastel formulas; each with the same ratio of colors but one had about 2 oz more of pastelizer to clear it out more. The color ratios were: One tube of green (yes green, it’s extremely yellow based) and about a nickel and a dash of Pink (a violet based pink), with a fist size of pastelizer). Just the perfect amount of cool to warm to mute down the color, creating the Salt from our Sea and Caramel swirled through. Sara’s makeup, though you can’t see it in this particular shot, was exquisitely done by @celestethestylist ♥️ Model: @saraaaaaakitty A HUGE thank you to these two ladies for trusting the process with me ✨ #halotopicecream #scruples #halotophair
