Peruvian native Franco Noriega holds a rare title: that of chef, model, and restaurateur. He doesn’t just do all three things, though— he excels at them.
In 2007, Noreiga moved to NYC to pursue his dream of acting. Two years later he was discovered by Mario Testino and began appearing in Burberry and Dolce and Gabbana ads.
Fast forward to 2014 and the sultry South American is thinking he wants more out of this world. He goes to culinary school, opens two restaurants in Peru followed by one in New York City. Oh, and he’s only 27— which is approximately how many abs he has.
Noreiga is all about clean eating, as reflected in the menu of his recent Lower East Side spot, Baby Brasa— a casual rotisserie chicken joint serving up sides of quinoa and sweet potatoes.
But despite his very clear love for vegetables, Noreiga makes sure to treat himself daily. According to the NY Post, the
sculpted god restaurateur eats a baguette a day because it’s “such a pleasure.” Even deities can’t resist carbs, guys.
If you were worried our dude’s culinary career would result in a lack of professionally shot underwear photos, your fears were completely unfounded— he does not plan to quit modeling anytime soon because he “believes there’s time for everything,” which in his case includes doing absolutely everything shirtless.
No, really. “I’m always shirtless,” he said. “I go into stores shirtless. I just love it because I come from such a tropical climate.” FINE BY ME.
