Over the weekend, everybody’s favorite former-dreadlock-possessor Justin Bieber posted a bunch of pictures with his alleged new girlfriend and current teen queen Sofia Richie— 17-year-old daughter of musician Lionel Richie and sister of I-don’t-actually-know-her-job Nicole Richie.
This flagrant blasting of his new chick drew much disdain from Selena Gomez fans worldwide, because they, like many others, think the Biebs is a douchebag and did their girl wrong. Snake emojis abounded.
Justin noticed all the hate and in one of the many black-and-white limo backseat selfies threatened to make his IG private if the hateful comments didn’t stop. Interestingly enough, he decided to interpret the messages as shade thrown at Sofia instead of the obvious intended recipient, AKA himself. But that’s the Biebs for ya.
This is where things get interesting, because Selena Gomez in the (Internet) flesh added her two cents, since the only means of confrontational discussion celebrities choose these (sad!) days is strictly confined to Instagram and Twitter.
She then edited her comment to add, “They love you and supported you before anyone ever did.”
And followed it up with a passive-aggressive Instagram post really hammering home how much she appreciates her fans. Obviously not as much as Justin appreciates his, I mean, when’s the last time he posted a collage of himself with his fans? Probably never.
BUT WAIT! It gets better. Justin responded.
IT GETS BETTER STILL. Selena responded BACK, mocking Justin while simultaneously accusing him of cheating.
Man, you’d think Selena would’ve unfollowed him or something after all the times he cheated. But then we wouldn’t be sitting here metaphorically eating a giant bucket of popcorn as we await the next development in this totally unimportant celebrity drama.
