‘Law & Order: SVU’ Is Taking On Donald Trump In A Very Special Episode

If you have an unhealthy obsession with the all around badass female Olivia Benson and her team of dedicated detectives who investigate vicious felonies (like we do), you may want to sit down because we’ve got some big news.

Producers of one of TV’s most addicting and longest running shows Law And Order: SVU have confirmed they will be taking on the infamous Trump in an all new episode. Thank god, Benson is on the case.

Law and Order: SVU is going to air an episode based on the 2005 video released last week where Trump bragged about sexually assaulting women.

Believe it or not, SVU is currently in its 18th season and isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The show is set to tackle the one and only Donald Trump just weeks before the election we’ve all been fearing.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Benson and her team have tackled issues that mirror real-world headlines. Episodes based on Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s elevator fight and Netflix’s Making a Murderer, are just a few of the most iconic airings.

We honestly could not be more excited about this. Benson and her squad may have their work cut out for them, but big bad Trump doesn’t stand a chance.

Gary Cole (of Veep) will play the Trump-esque role.

According to The Hollywood ReporterCole “will play a politician whose campaign goes haywire when several women go public with damaging accusations.” Other guest stars for the episode include Currie Graham, Meredith Travers, Bianca Amato and returning guest Peter Gallagher.

In September, show runner Rick Eid alluded to an episode in the works “involving some sort of brash demagogue with political ambitions.” Once the audio tape of Trump unashamedly saying “grab them by the pussy” hit newsstands everywhere, it was only a matter of time before the episode came together.

One of our favorite SVU veterans Ice-T also shared this hilarious hint via Twitter.

This might be the best thing we’ve seen all day.

Safe to say, Olivia’s on the case.

The episode titled “Unstoppable,” and will air just two short weeks before the election on October 28th. We see what you did there SVU.

Looks like Trump’s the Law & Order candidate after all…
