Don’t Get Scammed By This Mesmerizing Viral Video Of A Pore Vacuum

It’s no secret that we’re kind of obsessed with pimple popping videos here at Berry (especially Dr. Pimple Popper vids). But there’s one viral video making the rounds that really raised our eyebrows, and not because of its gnarly content.

Here’s a short video of a facial pore vacuum sucking gunk out of a woman’s face that’s been zipping around the internet recently:

The mesmerizing twenty-second video, originally posted to a YouTube account in November, popped up on Glamour and Bustle. It may be soothing to watch someone’s face get vacuumed, but there’s something more insidious about this video…

Sites posting the video claim the pore cleanser is the “17 Diamond Peeling Facial Pore Cleanser” sold by “The Vanity Planet,” and it seems…a little suspect

First of all, there are photos of two different products on the site:

porevaccum

One of the products looks significantly flimsier than the other, and I’ve got a good bet about which one you’ll get.

And, while the site claims the pore vacuum has a 4.5 star rating, the reviews read like they were written in a hurry and don’t provide any useful information:

Many of them were written on the same day and say vague things like “Very good!” and “Super!”

Then, there’s this alarming disclaimer:

That’s a GIANT red flag!

If your scam sirens aren’t blaring yet, there’s the fact that an identical product, which sells for around $5 on Amazon, has terrible reviews:

Bottom line: $30 is a great deal for a facial pore vacuum that works, but a horrible deal for one that doesn’t.
