As a convert to the school of thought that most of us shouldn’t be washing our hair daily, I can tell you that it’s not always a pretty sight. Oily-looking tresses, while better for the health of your scalp, are a tad unsightly, and all the dry shampoo in the world can only hide so much. But if you’re strategic you can hide how often you’ve bathed from the neck down, and still feel pretty and put together. And it’s not all pony tails and hats, either.
So the next time you’re struggling with droopy locks try one of these cute, simple hair styles to add instant glam to your day.
Front sections get sleeked back and pulled into a low pony underneath teased tresses.
Half up at the crown
Hair is curled and the top section tied back to sit pretty at the top of your head.
Bun + braid = Boho chic
Gather hair into a bun at the back of your head. Add a few braids in the back for a pop.
The 3-Step twist
Twisted strands are wrapped around each other and tied off.
Mermaid braids from the front are gathered around half-up hair, with a slight tease at the crown.
Faux-hawk braid with topknot
Create the look of a mohawk with a braid, and tie up braid ends into a cute top-knot.
Criss-cross half up hairstyle
Pull and pin hair from opposite sides.
Half up twist
Section, twist, and pin. Easy as 1-2-3.
Doubled-up fishtail braid
Hair is pulled up at the crown, and a the strands at the sides are pulled into half of a mermaid braid.
Soft and loose twists
Sectioned hair is twisted into chunks and pinned into place loosely.
Braids from each side are pinned back at the crown, hair at the top is teased to hide pins.
Romantic & edgy low bun
A top ponytail is tied off at the crown, then pulled into a second pony at the base of the neck. Twist the second pony loosely into a low bun.
