Traveling can be an exhausting endeavor, but it’s especially draining when you add multiple toddlers to the process. Previously annoying activities like waiting in line at security and getting stuck on the tarmac become an desperate attempt to entertain screaming children while the other passengers mean mug you across the aisle.
The struggle is real and even celebrity parents know this to be true. Take Deadpool star and father of two Ryan Reynolds for instance. In a recent appearance on Good Morning America, Reynolds discussed the painstaking process of traveling with little ones and we can totally relate.
On Good Morning America Ryan Reynolds hilariously shared his frustrations of traveling with two children.
In typical Reynolds humor the father of two says, “I would rather drink a piping hot bowl of liquid rabies than get on a plane with my two children.”
We feel that.
Even before he had children, Reynolds expressed that he had empathy for parents struggling with restless kids.
”I’ve always had empathy for parents, especially flying,” Reynolds explained. “I remember before I had kids, I was always like, ‘God, that’s hard.’ Because you can see they’re sweating and they’re nervous because their kids are yelling and everyone’s mad at them. I’m the same way.”
Reynolds and Lively now have two daughters―2-year-old James and 6-month-old Ines.
“At 2 years old they just have to rip all their clothes off and introduce themselves to everyone on the plane,” he joked. “It’s just like, ‘Please can we land in a farmer’s field?’”
Of course, this isn’t the first time Reynolds has had some comical insights on traveling with children.
And other joys of parenting.
Needless to say, he and Blake lively are total #ParentGoals.
