By now, you are likely familiar with the atrocious male romper trend that has the internet utterly mind-boggled. The RompHim—as the Kickstarter brand calls itself—sent waves of confusion and hilarity through Twitter shortly after its debut. Needless to say, people didn’t take this onesie ensemble for men too seriously.
However, just when we thought the male fashion industry couldn’t get any more bizarre, yet another “fad” is coming out of the woodwork and this one involves an unnecessary amount of lace…we’re not too sure how to feel about it.
Someone designed lace shorts for men and we’re not sure how to feel.
Of course, lace shorts themselves are nothing groundbreaking or new, but the design is making a comeback in a big way. This time it’s all about bright pastels and matching button-up tops. Though we haven’t seen these lacy getups on sale anywhere yet, rapper Cazwell shared a photo of five men in full-on matching lace outfits and we are shook. Talk about a rainbow squad.
The shorts are designed by LA-based brand Hologram City, and come in a variety of colors—including pink, blue, green, purple, and yellow.
Each pair of shorts is also paired with a matching lace top, giving an almost romper-like effect when worn together.
Of course, Twitter is having some thoughts about this new fad.
And one user made this excellent point:
Because at the end of the day, you should dress however the hell you want regardless of what other people think.
