Reaching out to an ex is like waving a lit match near a powder keg: things probably won’t turn out well, and you’re essentially asking for trouble. After all, there’s a reason the two of you are no longer together, right?
One guy recently made a somewhat obvious attempt to “get in touch” with his former lover — but he made the mistake of texting the wrong number. Fortunately, the person on the other end was pretty eager to give the thirsty guy some tough love.
In an Imgur post shared by GiggleBangsTheClown, an oblivious guy sends a text message to the person he thinks is his ex-girlfriend. In actuality, he’s texting a total stranger (whom I will dub “Troll Dude”).
Oh, Adam. You have no idea what you’ve done.
Adam and Troll Dude catch up for a bit, and Adam seems totally unperturbed by the bizarre direction of the conversation.
Evidently, the introduction of horse pills into the conversation was not an obvious sign that Adam was texting the wrong number?
Suddenly, sh*t gets real when Troll Dude tries to invite Adam over to his “girlfriend’s” house (you know, the one who just admitted she has herpes).
Adam proves to be a class act, gracefully letting down his former paramour without telling her outright that he wants nothing to do with venereal diseases.
Troll Dude apparently approves, and basically tells Adam that he’s passed the “test.” Adam can’t even be mad about it.
(I guess the term “troll” has multiple meanings in this scenario — not only is it someone who’s intentionally luring a person into a conversational trap in order to make them appear foolish, it’s also someone who’s actually forcing another person to correctly answer their riddles before they can “pass,” like a legit fairytale troll.)
Here’s hoping Adam learned his lesson, though. Texting your ex is just asking for trouble — regardless of whether or not the person you’re texting is actually your ex.
