Ice cream, the proverbial summer treat, possesses only one weakness: its tendency to melt. While some people relish the liquified ice cream in the bottom of the bowl or cone, some of us just wish the dessert would stay solid long enough for us to eat it.
Fortunately, one brilliant Twitter user may have found the unexpected solution to all our problems: a thermos.
Donald Li recently discovered that his metal Yeti thermos was the perfect size for accommodating a pint of ice cream — and considering thermoses are inherently well-insulated, Li decided to test out a delicious theory.
Li took the thermos …
… put some ice in the bottom of the cup …
… and then popped an open pint of ice cream inside of it.
Voilà! Not only is this thermos ice cream portable, it’s also going to stay frozen for much longer! It is truly an ice cream revelation.
Li shared his discovery to Twitter, where people quickly praised the ingenuity.
For ice-cream lovers everywhere, this was a game-changer.
Just think of all the places you can now transport your pints of ice cream! The possibilities are truly endless. (Okay, maybe not endless, but you get the idea.)
Here’s to making the most of this last bit of summer heat, and to being ice cream geniuses.
