It seems like every couple of months, everyone’s favorite corner coffee monopoly tests the waters with something different. Last month it was the Unicorn Frappucino, a pink and purple abomination that pissed off plenty of baristas. And we all know the usual ire that comes each year with the holiday cups. Well, if you can keep up with Starbucks‘ revolving door of Instagram-worthy treats, sit back and sip on their newest iteration.
Behold, Starbucks newest creation blends breakfast and a road trip staple into one savory treat!
The Pepper Nitro with a Jerky Twist drink is made by first cold brewing Starbucks’ Congo blend, then serving it through a nitro tap. The coffee is then infused with a sweet and savory malted fennel black pepper syrup, topped with a layer of honey cold foam, and finished with cracked pink peppercorn and a skewer of grass-fed beef jerky.
That is the most hipster sentence I have ever typed.
But if you find your mouth watering at the umami flavors I’ve just described, you better hop a flight to Seattle and soon. Right now it’s only available at the company’s Seattle Reserve Roastery & Tasting Room for a limited time. But if enough people start clamoring for this brunch-tastic concoction, who knows, it could be available at any of the 5 locations within a quarter mile of where you live.

Passion fruit ices tea, soy milk, vanilla syrup, and blackberries.
Vanilla Bean Frappuccino, blackberries, eight pumps of white mocha, three pumps of toasted coconut, and three scoops of matcha powder.
Vanilla Bean Frappuccino, an extra pump of both vanilla and hazelnut syrups, and a whole banana.
Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with extra caramel syrup, one to two pumps of toffee nut syrup, and caramel drizzle on top.
Strawberries and Crème Frappuccino, add one pump of caramel syrup, one pump of hazelnut syrup, one pump of toffee syrup, and java chips.
Orange mango juice, add vanilla bean powder and coconut milk.
Cool Lime Refresher to the first line, lemonade to the second line, add a few pieces of lime, top up with ice and black tea
Green Tea Frappuccino, add vanilla bean powder, swirl made from white mocha sryup and dried berries drizzled around cup, top with whip and purple drizzle. Optional: add coconut syrup.
Blended Strawberry Lemonade, add vanilla bean powder, top with whipped cream and green tea matcha powder.
Cool Lime Refresher, add classic syrup (1 pump tall, 1.5 grande, 2 venti), add peppermint syrup (½ pump tall, 1 grande, 1.5 venti), add ice and blend, lime wheels to garnish.
