Planning a wedding is one of the most stressful possible life experiences — and that’s assuming you’re actually in love with the person you’re marrying, which isn’t necessarily a given. Therefore, it’s only natural that, occasionally, people buckle under the anxiety and cancel their weddings altogether.
That said, some brides have some pretty unusual reasons for backing out of walking down the aisle.
Recently, a handful of former fiancés took to Whisper to confess their reasons for calling off their nuptials, and the excuses ranged from understandable (they weren’t in love with their significant other anymore), to utterly berserk (they were annoyed by their fiancé’s relatives). Regardless of where the excuses fall on the bizarreness spectrum, it’s pretty clear: matrimonial bliss certainly isn’t for the faint of heart.
